 Dry Needling™

Dry Needling is a modality that has been developed to assist with soft tissue dysfunction. With Dry Needling fine, single use, sterile acupuncture needles are inserted into specific points in the body to bring about a positive change.

There are four different styles of Dry Needling™ and you have access to all four when Katrina is your therapist. Katrina is one of a select number of therapist’s in Australia who is a graduate of Dr Yun-Tao Ma – a renowned internationalauthority in acupuncture, sports performance, pain management, and traumarehabilitation. Dr Ma is the founder of the Integrated & Systemic Dry Needling technique.

Katrina offers this form of therapy in her suite of rehabilitation support services. It is a form of electrical muscle stimulation. A specifically designed machine is connected to the body to provide electrical stimulation. The machine is set to varying currents and frequency which are altered to suit the condition being treated.

Myofascial Release Technique

The Myofascial technique is a deceptively gentle technique that works at a deep level to create a change in the body. Myofascial is quite simply “the glue that holds everything together” in the body.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage provides a healing treatment for muscles that have become knotted and tense or damaged.
Katrina as your massage therapist will work to identify the original biomechanical dysfunction so that the cause of the symptoms can be treated simultaneously with the symptoms themselves.
